Seventh – Day Adventist Senior Secondary School, Jalandhar is one of the hundred schools in India run by the worldwide Education Department of Seventh-Day Adventists with their world headquarters in Washington D.C. U.S. A, with their regional administration (Northern India Union of SDA) at 11, Hailey Road Delhi.
In 1985, the School was affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations and the Indian School Certificate in 2002. This particular school offers English, Hindi, Punjabi, Social Studies, Science, Economics, Commerce, Computers, Mathematics and S.U.P.W. with the moral instructions as core subjects.
The course of study programme covers all the subjects prescribed by the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations. The medium of instructions in the school is purely English. In plus, two studies school offers both the streams: Science and Commerce.
Chairman's message
I am happy that the Seventh-Day Adventist Senior Secondary School, Jalandhar is giving true education. True education is well defined as the harmonious development of all the faculties, a full and educate preparation for the life as the future eternal life. It has to do with the whole being, and with the whole period of existence. It is the harmonious development of the physical, mental and spiritual powers. An education in which the mental faculties are properly developed is clearly outlined. An education in which the hands are skilled in useful trades is emphasized.
The administrators and the teachers of Seventh-Day Adventist School, Jalalndhar have true vision. They are committed to uphold the principles and objectives of true education. They have been diligent in their responsibilities and they mold the character of the students. This school aims in early years in the formal school work that mind develops and a pattern of living is established.
I am sure that throughout this school many students will get the true education and be trained for the future leadership of the country.
